Rolling rolling rolling

With this I mean that after all the xmas food I was rolling back home to Gothenburg after the train!!! Although, yesterday I was a bit...hm...should we say "tired" and not very hungry after the xmas day party, so I think I starved off most of the meatballs! ;)

Christmas was tons of fun at my sisters house. Kajsa was a whirlwind of energy, a big differnece from the last time I spent xmas at home when she was only 3 months old. Dad was Santa Clause and she was very exited! lots of food, candy and julmust! Just perfect! :)

the 25th was the traditional xmas day party, this year held by Linda & Tobias. It was a lot of fun and although I wasn´t feeling in the mood to party during the day I caught up and was probably the loudest and most ennoying party member there! Den bjuder jag på, man har aldrig roligare än vad man gör sig!! ;) Brita was apperently happy though, that someone but her was making a fool of themselves this year, last year it was her! But what do I know, I wasn´t there! ;)

Party Time

Yesterday I was invited to Karin´s workplace for some Afterwork glögg and wine. It got very wet and the floor a bit uneven as her workmates chugged down the beer that was left from their xmas party. When it was all gone we got in a cab and went in to town to a bar called "Boulevard". Real fancy, where most people wore suits and nice dresses and I felt a little out of place in my Replay-jeans! Both Karin and I were bumming that it wasn´t more fun so we left after half an hour and went to 7Eleven instead for hotdogs. :) Stroled down the Avenue and then decided it was time to call it a night, Karin had to go to work the next day so no point in staying out TOO late. Got home, brushed my teeth and looked at the clock; 23.10.....

Am I getting old or just picky?!!!


8 days ´til xmas....

Lussekissar & Julmust

So I had a real "future-baking-mom" day today. I made my very own Lussekissar and without ANY help from either my mom or sister. :)
And OOHH---MYY---GOOD were they good! :) ok, so they were average, but for my first bunbake I was impressed! I´m taking them with me to a friends house tonight, to share my baking-talent and for some Glögg. Very x-massy.

X-Mas Spirit

I just looooove christmas!!! From the gift shopping to the snow to the food to all the traditions.

As for the first, I´ve alreday started my xmas shopping, and I´m proud to say I´m pretty much done! :) I´ve bought presents for everyone in the family, down to a few little things. And very glad to have it done with. I haven´t even bought the same boring gifts, "socks and a book for dad" either! Now I only have to wrap it all, which I also enjoy! Yeah, I guess I´m weird. Maybe my years spent in the sun over xmas has affected me, but hey, I can´t really blame it on that ´cause I was the same way before that too! :)

We even had a little bit of snow here in Gothenburg which apparently doesn´t happen a lot. So I was out there dragging my feet in the snow tempted to tip my head and open my mouth to catch the snowflakes, but then I figured that was going too far... They´ve also lit around 4million lights at Liseberg, the amusement park and am going there to check it out and have some "glögg".

Only a few weeks away from xmas eve and we´re spending it at my sister´s house like they´ve done since Kajsa was born. My dad was close to book a vacation for him and mom over xmas, and when I said to him; "you can´t go over xmas, I´ll be home for once to celebrate with you" and he answered back; "that´s exactly why i think we should go"... I hope he was joking.... hm....

But before I can chow down ham, meatballs, candy, risgrynsgröt and ALL the other food we have for xmas, I have a a lot of things happening. A visitor coming this weekend, namely my cousin Pernilla, there´s Lucia and the baking of Lussekissar and gingerbread cookies with julmust, xmas markets, "glögg nights" and hopefully more snow so I can make snow-angels! :)

See, I´m way too busy to work full time!!!
