WEDDINGBELLS

And so it happened, my cousin Pernilla is now a kept woman...?!!!
Yesterday at Skokloster Kyrka the ceremony was held for Pernilla and Per. They said their "I do:s" and not an eye was dry! :) Pernilla looked beautiful in her custom made dress.

After it was all said and done, we went over to friends of Per who held the reception in the garden at their house. Had champagne and strawberries, before sitting down to a cold cut meal and whine. A lot of people, myself included, made Pernilla cry during the dinner with their heart felt speaches, so it was all according to tradition. :)

Everyone had been put into groups of four before dinner to write a little poem about the couple, and ours was read out loud during dinner (sorry for not translating this, but it just wouldn´t do it any justice)
"Per; Förr du i gryningen satt och spydde på ett däck, nu du vaknar upp till Pernillas vackra häck. Pernilla; Förr du satt vresandes och spelade gitarr i string, numer får du åtnjuta Per och hans lilla Dingeling".
Future poets if I may say so myself!!! :)
After dinner we all mingled and had more whine (some more than others) it was pretty darn cold to be outside by now so they started the music in the barn, so in all went to shake it a little after the Wedding Wals.

People started dropping off already at ten pm but the rest of us, including the bride and groom, stayed until one when the lousy DJ played his last 70´s song. Pernilla wanted to have an after party but the host and hostess were getting tired, and we reminded her that it "WAS her wedding night after all, and maybe her and Per should go to their hotel...?" But no, she replied (and again sorry for the Swedish) "Äh, ingen gökar på sin bröllops natt ändå", in true Pernilla style...!!! :)
Great wedding!
